Type Locality and Naming

Type locality: Named after the priest- campsite Noen Phu Yai Yua (now called Priestcampsite Pha Sing), about 6 km west of Chanthaburi town; rock succession is well exposed in excavated pit. Upper formation in the Chanthaburi Gr.

Synonym: หมวดหินเนินผู้ใหญ่เยื่อ


Lithology and Thickness

Dark-grey, well-bedded turbiditic sandstones interbedded with shale. Thickness: 250 m
